It's the right of people to make this sort of agreement and none of the state's business. That being said, I wouldn't be a donor; I'd go nuts knowing I had a child out there and couldn't be in its life as a father.

Yes. It's a matter of rights. If I want to specify a payee for my donated organs, then it's nobody's business but mine. If I don't trust people involved, then I can do something else.

An astrophysicist on nightly news was great to see! I followed Neil's tweets; he really hammered the movie, but said that he liked it anyway. Maybe Neil should get himself a Hollywood agent and take gigs as a science consultant. BTW, he's an atheist, so he's also got that going for him.
